About Us
Our family, Jon, Hayley, Abbey and Holly, acquired Merkins Farm in the early 2000s. In the upcoming years we transformed the derelict dairy farm buildings into a small Farm Café, with the aim to give our neighbours a warm and welcoming place to visit to grab a coffee and breakfast.
Fast forward to today, we are proud to be providing our community with delicious, locally sourced, home cooked food, ethical and Fairtrade coffee roasted in Bristol, and a huge selection of homemade sweet treats. Somewhere our family could never have imagined to be 20 years ago.

Indulge in Seasonal Flavours and Freshly Baked Treats
On arrival, one of our wonderful team members will show you to your table. We have an extensive indoor seating area, thoughtfully curated and designed with rustic, farmhouse-style interiors.
On our counter you’ll find our large selection of home baked goods and Bertinet Bakery pastries, as well as our seasonal specials board. Our team of chefs take pride into putting thought and care into their specials that change each week, as well as our seasonally changing menu.
Our cakes are all baked and decorated in house, with many selling to take home as well as eat in! We highly recommend the Biscoff Slice!
We also have a large outdoor seating area, with an incredible 180 degree panoramic view of beautiful Wiltshire.
In 2020, we installed garden sheds in our courtyard as fun new structures for seating, today, they are one of the most popular spots to sit in!
There’s also a shepherds hut you can enjoy the views from, and many outdoor benches.
Find photos in our gallery or visit our Instagram page (@merkinsfarm) for a better insight to our interior, yummy food and courtyard.

Our Mission
We go above and beyond to ensure our visitors enjoy their experience at Merkins Farm, as much as we’ve loved creating it. From the beginning, our vision has been to have a positive impact on the local community, to listen, to care, and to be proactive. We aim to be a leader in innovation, service and quality, through providing delicious, locally sourced, home cooked produce, delivered with a smile. We love to support local, from the coffee we proudly use, Clifton Coffee Roasters in Bristol, to our eggs we provide, from Anthony the owner of Southview Farm, just 2 miles from our location. We are proud to be independent, and wherever we can, we vow to support local.
